Architecture
Learn to design buildings and public spaces in a setting where Samarkand's thousand-year architectural heritage meets contemporary practice — from first sketch to working drawings.

About the programme
The Department of Architecture was established in September 1966, together with the institute itself, under the leadership of the first rector, Professor R.R. Abdurasulov, PhD in Architecture. Today it is the country's leading department for training highly qualified architects.
Every semester is built around a design studio: students survey historic monuments, develop projects in protected heritage zones, and complete internships at regional design institutes and construction companies.
Curriculum
Each academic year carries 60 credits. The full study plan is published annually by the department.
