The Economy department was founded on 10 August 2023, under the leadership of senior lecturer M.Sh. Komilova, to train highly qualified economists for the country.
It prepares specialists in the direction “Economy (by branches and sectors)”; teaching is run in cooperation with enterprises of the field, aligned with the demands of the market economy and strongly practice-oriented. Graduates work in design and construction contracting organisations, financial institutions, state and local government bodies and enterprises of every form of ownership.
Today the department counts nine teaching staff: one Candidate of Economic Sciences, two PhDs in economics, two senior lecturers, two assistant lecturers, one foreign assistant lecturer and one trainee lecturer. The share of staff with degrees is 33 percent and their average age is 39. The department teaches one bachelor's direction and one master's speciality.
