Having completed his working visit to the People's Republic of China, the university's Rector Dr. Chidem Turkyilmaz today visited Daffodil University in Dhaka, the capital of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, to broaden the geography of the university's international partnerships.
At the start of the visit, a meeting was held with the leadership of Daffodil University headed by its Rector Dr. S.M. Mahbub Ul Haque Majumder, at which the two institutions discussed at length the conditions created for their students, particularly doctoral candidates and researchers, and the prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation in launching joint dual education programmes, organising staff internships and summer schools for students.
In the afternoon, Rector Dr. Chidem Turkyilmaz gave a lecture at Daffodil University's Faculty of Architecture on sustainable architecture, modern design principles and the challenges of preserving cultural heritage sites. The information and scientific ideas presented in the lecture aroused great interest among the faculty, doctoral candidates and master's students who attended.
