Marking 9 May, Memory and Honour Day, the tutor of the Deanery of Students and active students of Mirzo Ulugbek Samarkand State Technical University visited the home of Ahad Ochilov, a Second World War veteran born in 1924.
Grandfather Ahad, who devoted 60 years of dedicated service to education, mentored six generations of students, and was awarded the “Distinguished Public Education Worker” badge by our President, told the young people about his life, about the day he went to war at the age of 17, about the harsh conditions at the front, and about today's peaceful, prosperous life.
