A delegation from Xi'an University of Technology, China, led by Party Committee Secretary Li Zhijun, visited Samarkand State Technical University.
The delegation first toured the university's new building to see the conditions created for students and faculty. The main part of the meeting then continued in the main building with the university's leadership.
During the meeting, the following were discussed:
— implementing joint projects in education, science and innovation;
— launching academic-exchange programmes;
— SDTU's membership in the “Ecological Water Conservation and New Energy Alliance”.
At the end of the meeting, a cooperation memorandum and an alliance-membership agreement were signed between Xi'an University of Technology and Samarkand State Technical University.
