Today an important meeting on matters of international cooperation was held with a Turkish delegation at Mirzo Ulugbek Samarkand State Technical University.
The delegation included Dr Hasan Yavuz, ambassador of Turkey's Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Prof. Dr Adnan Sözen, rector of Adana Alparslan Türkeş University of Science and Technology; Prof. Dr Neşe Yalçın, vice-rector of Adana ATU; Assoc. Prof. Dr Nihat Döngel, Secretary General of Adana ATU; Dr Mustafa Latif Emek, president of the IKSAD Institute; and Atabek Mavlyanov, chief coordinator of IKSAD.
The meeting discussed expanding cooperation between the two countries in education and science, student and faculty exchange programmes, and joint research projects and technological innovations.
Rector Dr Chidem Turkyilmaz said: “Meetings like this play an important role in strengthening academic ties between Uzbekistan and Turkey and in creating joint prospects for the future.”
