Abror Gadayev, the university's vice-rector for research and innovation, took part in the 13th National International Conference on Environmental Engineering, held from 27 November to 3 December at Wuyi University in Jiangmen, Guangdong province, People's Republic of China.
At the conference the vice-rector delivered a paper on “Climate change and sustainable operation and recharge of artesian wells in Uzbekistan”, and joined environmental-engineering experts in discussions on water problems, climate change and countering its effects.
At the invitation of the Jiangmen city administration he also gave an outreach lecture at the Municipal Education Bureau Peiying Senior High School on attracting foreign students to the university. During the visit a memorandum of cooperation was signed with Wuyi University.
