The university's Head of the Foreign Languages Department M. Kenjayev, together with faculty members D. Mamaraimov, S. Boboyorov and M. Hayitboyev, are currently on a working visit to Osh Technological University in the neighbouring Osh Region of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The main purpose of the visit is to become closely acquainted with Osh Technological University's education system, to study its foreign-language curricula, to learn about its student assessment criteria, to establish inter-departmental research cooperation, and to complete an internship.
During the visit, the university's teaching staff met with faculty of Osh Technological University's Department of Computer Linguistics and Department of World Languages, exchanging views on academic and methodological matters and taking part in classes. Our faculty are also currently becoming closely acquainted with Osh Technological University's computer linguistics laboratory, its teaching process and how its language courses are run.
In addition, at a reception hosted by Osh Technological University Professor Dr. Jonbolot Tursunbayev, agreement was reached with the university's leadership on the internship programme and the process and outcomes of its implementation. Osh Technological University's leadership particularly stressed that further developing ties between the two universities and this kind of cooperation in higher education would be significant and beneficial for both sides in future.
In addition, the university's teaching staff visited the Department of English Philology and the German Language Centre of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek International University, where they agreed on future research cooperation and exchange of experience.
