Yesterday, Dr. Chidem Turkyilmaz, rector of Mirzo Ulugbek Samarkand State Technical University, met Sobhi Tawil, Director for the Future of Education and Innovation at UNESCO, in Paris, the capital of France.
The conversation covered the university's role in this year's UNESCO General Assembly, to be held in Samarkand, and matters relating to the university's UNESCO chair — building an integrated system of research and education, engaging the public and developing dialogue — as well as further developing and strengthening cooperation between foreign specialists, researchers and the university's teaching staff.
