October 21 — The Day the Uzbek Language Was Granted State Language Status
On the occasion of October 21, the Day the Uzbek Language Was Granted State Language Status, a quiz competition entitled “My Mother Tongue — the Jewel of My Heart” was organized among first-year students of the Faculty of Construction at Samarkand State Technical University.
The main objective of the event was to increase students’ respect for their mother tongue, promote the richness and beauty of the Uzbek language, and strengthen their knowledge of the Uzbek language and literature.
During the quiz, students demonstrated their knowledge and abilities by answering questions on spelling rules, grammar, proverbs and sayings, idiomatic expressions, and national values.
