Khayrullo Bozorov, governor of Fergana region, received Chidem Janbay Turkyilmaz, rector of Samarkand State Technical University, and his Chinese partners. The meeting discussed prospects for mutual cooperation and investment matters.
The regional leader acknowledged the important place the development of science holds in the progress of the country today, including Samarkand State Technical University's joint programmes and investment projects in this field.
Information was also given about the areas attracting foreign investment in Fergana region, where new residential districts are being built and construction work is expanding in scale, and it was noted that cooperation with foreign investors is yielding good results.
