On the initiative of the Compliance Control Department of Samarkand State Technical University, a round table on “The biggest obstacle on the path of reform is corruption” was held for second-year correspondence-course students of the Faculty of Construction and the Faculty of Economics and Management.
The event was attended by Mavjuda Rustamova, a representative of the “Madad Shafqat” bar association and a top-category advocate, Javlon Suyunov, dean of the Faculty of Construction, and the university's prevention inspectors Nargiza Primova and Temur Karimov.
At the round table, participants discussed at length the decree of the President of Uzbekistan on improving the anti-corruption system, and resolutions on ensuring the independence of internal anti-corruption oversight units, along with their significance.
Students were given recommendations on raising anti-corruption awareness and legal culture, and views were exchanged through open dialogue.
