Rector Dr. Chidem Turkyilmaz, accompanied by Sherzod Uzoqov, Vice-Rector for Youth Affairs and Moral and Educational Work, visited the student dormitory of Mirzo Ulugbek Samarkand State Technical University. The purpose was to learn directly about students' living conditions, wishes and problems, and to get to know them more closely.
First, a meeting was held with members of the “Qalqon” public group. The rector formally presented them with certificates, which was a great encouragement for the students.
A warm and open conversation was also held with members of the “Mushoira” creative students' club. The talented young people read out their own poems, and suggestions and comments about the club's work were heard.
During the visit, conditions in the dormitory — including internet speed, sanitary conditions and the operation of the study rooms — were reviewed in detail.
Direct dialogue with students, and attention to their life and problems, is an important step towards raising the quality of education!
