Participants of the “Turkic World Urban Planning Congress” held in Samarkand visited Mirzo Ulugbek Samarkand State Technical University.
The meeting was attended by Salih Caner, the Consul General of the Republic of Turkey in Samarkand, İlyas Demirci, chairman of the Union of Turkic World Engineers and Architects, and a group of congress delegates. The university's rector Dr. Chidem Turkyilmaz, vice-rectors and teaching staff welcomed the guests.
During the meeting it was noted that social, economic and cultural ties between Uzbekistan and Turkey, as well as research cooperation between higher education institutions, were steadily developing. The guests got a close look at the university's work and wished it great success in its future development.
