A large-scale event was held at Samarkand State Technical University to open the Month of Patriotism, held across the country from 15 December 2025 to 15 January 2026 under a decree of the President.
The event began with a ceremonial march in front of the university building, joined by service members, students and members of the public. The opening of the Month of Patriotism was formally declared by Lieutenant Colonel Sardorjon Madaminjonovich Qobulov, deputy commander of the Central Military Command.
Demonstration performances followed from service members of the National Guard directorate, the directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Border Troops and the Samarkand regional “Vatanparvar” organisation. Aimed at raising young people in a spirit of military patriotism and guiding them towards the honourable calling of defending the Motherland, the performances drew great interest from the audience.
A display of military equipment and weaponry was also organised during the event, leaving the students with a meaningful and memorable impression.
