Language is the heart of a people, the soul of a nation, and one of humanity’s greatest treasures. The Uzbek language is an enduring legacy inherited from our ancestors and a cultural treasure that has been shaped over centuries.
On October 21, marking the anniversary of the granting of official state language status to the Uzbek language, a spiritual and educational event entitled “My Language, Unbroken by the Trials of History!” was held at our university.
The event was attended by the university rector, Professor Chidem Turkyilmaz; First Vice-Rector for Youth Affairs and Spiritual and Educational Work, Sherzod Uzokov; distinguished veteran educator and poet Nuriddin Boboqandov; faculty members; and students.
Members of student clubs and talented students prepared and performed an artistic and musical composition on stage. The performance emphasized that the Uzbek Language Day is an important occasion dedicated to our nation’s most precious treasure — our mother tongue — and to fostering love and respect for it.
At the conclusion of the event, diplomas and commemorative gifts were presented to the winners of competitions held in celebration of Uzbek Language Day.
